Planning Days

21st January, 2001 – Sydney planning day

• Present: 14 Lay Marists (2 from Melbourne) &
  7 religious from 4 Marist Congregations.
  
  
• Ideas and strategies were shared for the
  formation of an Australian Lay Marist Association.
  
  
• Interim Committee formed, led by Maria Baden,
  with the mandate to work on the purpose and
  structure for a Lay association
  
  
• March, 2001– Lay Marists attend the Marist Provincials’ Meetings.
  
  
• May 2001 – Questionnaire sent to Marist Laity in Victoria, NSW and
  QLD to ensure broad-based
  support for the establishment of a Lay Marist Association
  
  
• September 8th 2001 – Melbourne Marist Laity Planning Day
