Topic: Follow My Son

We reflected on this poem wondering if Mary did know? After prayer and discussion we moved on to the booklet Follow My Son to Calvary and tried to enter into Mary’s feelings, as now she did know, as she followed her Son to Calvary. This journey with Mary helped us realise the agony of the mother as she watched her son being beaten, scorned, brutalised, crucified…each of us could relate to her anguish as she felt every bit of His excruciating pain in her own heart and body. We prayed with Mary and for ourselves and our world. We will continue to do so throughout Lent.
