This is the first Marist Laity bulletin from our general administration here in Rome. Last year there were a number of important meetings of laity around the Society. There was the international meeting held in April of 2005 in Auckland, New Zealand. One held in Canada in August as well as in Chicago in October for the North American Lay Marists. In the coordinators in Canada meeting we were supplied with some handbooks published by the Atlanta Marist Lay service. One of which is on "Formation Program for Marist Laity". The other is a "Handbook for leaders of Marist Laity". Here in Rome the four superior generals and councilors of the Marist Family met each year in January to share and dialogue on various aspects of our Marist Mission and Charisms and this year this meeting was held at the Marist Brothers retreat house in Manziana. |
