Farewell

Farewell and Thank you to Br John Thompson, who retires as Marist Brothers’ Provincial of the Sydney Province. Marist Laity Australia wishes to thank John for the generous and practical support he and the brothers have given us over the years of his leadership. John has always been inclusive of our association and has always said “yes” to our various requests for assistance. John, we wish you well in your future ministry and will keep you in our prayers.

Welcome

Welcome to the new Marist Brothers’ Provincial, Br Jeff Crowe. Jeff comes from a very strong missionary background and involvement at an international and local level with Marist of all the branches. Besides his work in the Sydney Province he has also spend time in PNG and the Solomons and was the first District Superior of the region. From 1993-2001 he served as an Assistant in the General Council and worked in many parts of the world. Before his appointment as Provincial of the Sydney Province he was involved with our mission in Asia, ministering in India and taking on the role as Rector at our post-novitiate formation centre at the Marist Asian Pacific Centre (MAPAC) in Manilla.
