Lay Marists in MEXICO, D.F.by Patricia Acevedo We are witnesses to Christ in the world in the style of Mary. Our aim is: To live our Christian life and call to holiness as the spirituality of the Virgin Mary, adhering to the family that bears her name. How the group Works:
We have a spiritual guide (Marist Priest), who is responsible for the spiritual formation of the group. Every Sept 12—the Feastday of the Holy Name of Mary, we do “The Marist Promise” - a commitment to live the year in the spirit of Mary—a spirit of love, simplicity, hiddenness, and prayer, working in the various activities of our parishes. Our Commitments:
+ We communicate the Marist Spirituality in the various fields where each of us lives (family, job, friends) and through the various activities in the community, some of them are: - Distributing each month in the community written messages about feasts of Our Lady in the year. - Organizing and collaborating in various youth events in Marist provinces, in the Parish and the Vicarage. We meet every third Sunday of the month for spiritual formation and share experiences, as well as for planning Marist activities of Marist Laity in the Parish of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Annually we choose a coordinator and deputy.
+ Individually and in the groups we comply with the statutes of Marist Laity.
