Marist Sisters - Election of Sector Leadership Team
 On October 11th Marist Sisters in Australia gathered in Villa Maria Hall Hunters Hill for an Assembly of Election to elect the leadership team for the Sector of Australia for the next three years. In June this year, the Marist Sisters General Chapter confirmed the new structure with which the Congregation has been experimenting over the past three years.
The Sector of Australia, together with the Sectors of New Zealand, Fiji and the Philippines comprise the Region of Asia-Pacific, one of the three Regions into which the Congregation has been organised. After a period of reflection and sharing on their experience of the new structure and consideration of their current reality the Sisters voted for their Sector Leader and for two Assistants. Sister Gail Reneker was elected Sector Leader and Sisters Carmel Murray and Grace Ellul the two Assistants. The new team will begin February 2, 2009.
