Sr Suporna Rosario smsm  sets off for Algiers

Sr SupornaFor the past three years, Sr Suporna has enjoyed working with the Inter faith Dialogue in the Parramatta Diocese and also at the Columban Centre for Christian/Muslim relations in Strathfield. There she learnt a lot about inter-religious dialogue.  In December she leaves to prepare for her next mission in a Muslim country Algiers.  Prior to that she will go to France to learn both French and Arabic.

Suporna  who was drawn to Marist life by the SMSM she met in her home country Bangladesh, completed her studies in New Zealand Australia & Fiji .  Then she was missioned back to her own country where she worked for three years with handicapped people, garment workers and street girls, before  coming to Sydney.  We wish her every blessing as she responds to the call to set out again and again….

“In  complete availability, we are ready to leave our own country, to set out again towards other people and other cultures, knowing that the Spirit    precedes us. He whose gentle action is the source of evangelisation and brings to birth in us the same Spirit He created in the hearts of our Pioneers.”   -SMSM Const..16
