Jina Mulligan
After thirty years of attending Mass, and worshipping in my Protestant tradition, in 2001 I joined the Catholic Church formally.
Since 2004 I have been involved with the Marist Laity at St. Pat's, Church Hill. The Marist community at Saint Patrick's is for me an enriching community. After studying Spirituality for two years at the Aquinas Academy, I moved to The Catholic Institute of Sydney into an MA in Theological Studies. I am fortunate to have had and continue to have, excellent tuition and to be able to participate in the contemplative conversation.
My ongoing faith is paramount in my life. With my husband and children, and all with whom I come in contact, it is in connecting Mary's story with my own that I am able to breath in peace and love and unity with the Spirit.
Our monthly gatherings of Marist Laity, at St Pat's, give us an opportunity to pray and to share in hope and trust as we seek to live Mary's gentle spirit of compassion in our daily lives. | |
