A Friendly Wave
 Recently I noticed in a Church a young mother with her child collect her parcels and begin abruptly to leave. Then at the rear of the Church she paused for a second, waved at a statue of the Virgin and Child then left. Interested in her theology I asked her later about the gesture. She explained in utter simplicity that while she may be busy during the day and thus forget Jesus and his Mother, she knew that they would never forget her. Her gesture was not really a good-bye but a way of saying thank you to them. How conscious are you of Mary in your everyday life and activity?
