Something For Our Lives We can come to the basic understanding that God's gift is his presence – “the Lord is with you”. God's presence empowers and enables us from within, as it did for Mary, to take up the call in our lives and respond generously. The Immaculate Conception shows that God can be, and is, utterly gracious towards us, not by reason of what we are, but by reason of his love and mercy.
