Annunciation
The Annunciation of the Lord - March 25Origin  This feast originated in the East and was introduced at Rome between 660 and 680 A.D.
The Annunciation was established on 25th March because the feast of Christimas was already set. By the 6th century, the Annunciation was a universally recognised feast both in the East as well as the West.
