Mary's Decision at the Annunciation - March 25

Annunciation FlowerDiscussion/Reflection
  1.

    1. Collect newspaper articles, that are about people making choices.
    2. Then make a statement about the alternatives involved in each choice and evaluate the possibility of each alternative and its consequences.
  2. Not many important decisions in life are easily arrived at, and a considerable period of time may pass before we have a clear idea of what to do. What does Mary's response have to offer us as a way of responding to the unknown?

  3. Like Mary, many young people are at the crossroads of life. What free, well-informed and responsible decisions have you made so far in your life?

  4. What structures are there in your life and in our society that prevent you from making decisions or living up to them?

  5. One of the results of God becoming human is a deeper awareness of the sacredness of the human body. Mary was caught up in God's glory and became the 'Temple' of the Lord. In what ways can you respect yourself? How can you show respect of others?
